The hotel could use an upgrade in certain areas, like the old AC system instead of a wall thermostat control, and the cleanliness was an issue with filthy carpets and stained bedding in room 321. On the bright side, the location is good relative to downtown Sarasota, albeit with some minor concerns like feeling a little uneasy and missing expected features for a La Quinta.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was excellent, just a stone's throw away from St Armand's Circle, Lido Beach, and Longboat Key, making it super convenient for exploring the Sarasota area. However, the room cleanliness left much to be desired, with smoky odors and unclean sheets, though we managed to switch to a better room eventually. The service was a mix of friendliness and unresponsiveness, making the experience a bit inconsistent.

My stay at the hotel was a nightmare. The rooms had a terrible odor due to the wet carpet, and the pool was not clean after the second night. The place felt more like a rundown motel than a reputable hotel chain. The experience was so bad that I ended up moving to another hotel, spending extra money and feeling completely exhausted and disappointed that La Quinta still had my money.
